About us

"For where two or three are gathered together in my name,
there am I in the midst of them."

~ Matthew 18:20

Who we are...

The Gospel Hall is the building used by an assembly of Christians that has been in existence in rural Hitesville for over 75 years. The name of the building identifies one of the assembly’s chief functions: to preach the Gospel, God’s message of forgiveness of sins and salvation from judgement through the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Gospel Meeting is held each Sunday evening at 6:30. No collections are taken and you and your family are invited to attend.

Sharing your concern for the welfare of your children and knowing the Bible alone can provide that spiritual instruction so necessary for young lives, we have a Sunday School at 10:00 to 11:00 o’ clock each Sunday. It is the aim of the Sunday School teacher to give children an understanding of the Bible and of God’s love for them.

Almost 2,000 years have passed since the Lord Jesus Christ, after His resurrection, commanded His disciples to preach the Gospel “in all the world…to every creature.” In this 21st century, we consider it a privilege to be proclaiming that same glorious message that offers life and peace to guilty sinners. We “ declare unto you the Gospel…how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that He was buried and the He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.” 1 Corinthians 15:1-4

What we believe...

We believe that the Bible is the living, unchanging Word of God. Every word is inspired by God. It is completely relevant and reliable and is sufficient to meet all our spiritual needs.

We believe that Jesus Christ is God and that He became a man in order to die on the cross as a substitute for sinners. He rose from the dead three days later and today He is in Heaven at the Father's right hand.

We believe that every person is born with a sinful nature. Our sin separates us from God and renders us helpless to save ourselves. Only through the death of Christ can we be cleansed and forgiven.

We believe that salvation is by grace through faith. Eternal life is found exclusively in the person and work of Jesus Christ. Salvation is obtained by personally receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

We believe that Heaven is the eternal home of the saved and that Hell is the abode of the lost.
